Written in 1951, by Rachel Cosgrove Payes, (author of The Hidden Valley of Oz,) The Wicked Witch of Oz was intended to be the 40th book in the official Oz series, but it remained unpublished until 1993 when it was finally published in this sumptuously beautiful edition by the International Wizard of Oz Club. Our copies are all from that first and only printing of the book, all in like-new condition. The large hardcover is bound in red cloth stamped in gold, features two-tone pictorial endpapers, and is profusely illustrated by Eric Shanower, who brings the Wicked Witch and our Ozzy friends to life in his most intricate pen-and-ink style.
